Nicole Banerji is the designer/maker behind ‘Nicole B-S’. Nicole spent the first part of her life building her career as a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, working in a consultancy role for the major blue-chip companies in the UK. The dawning of the new millennium coincided with a key birthday and the emergence of a burning desire to explore new horizons. Nicole’s love of luxury fabrics and strong colours drew her to experiment with the different techniques of painting on silk. Largely self-taught, Nicole has developed a portfolio of vibrant, highly individual pieces which include paintings, scarves and ties. She specialises in wearable abstracts and highly stylised paintings of flowers and animals, all in vivid colours. In recent months Nicole has added velvet scarves to her repertoire.

Nicole has exhibited across the North-West and her work is held in private collections locally, nationally and internationally.  In addition to her own designs, Nicole also creates highly individual and personalised corporate gifts, blending her unique approach with more formal company artwork.

Locating Her Work

Nicole’s work can be viewed sporadically at craft fairs and on a more permanent basis at her studio (viewing by appointment) in Bury Arts and Crafts Centre (www.rework.org.uk). Her work is also on view in a range of galleries.
